Q:

PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!Relationship A and Relationship B show the change in the temperature for a pot of water on the stove. Relationship B has a greater rate than Relationship A. This table represents Relationship A. Time (min) 2 , 3 , 7 , 9Temperature (°C) 61.3 , 64.9 , 79.3 , 86.5What table could represent Relationship B? (A) Time (min) 2 , 3 , 7 , 9Temperature (°C) 61.0 , 64.4 , 78 , 84.8(B) Time (min) 2 , 3 , 7 , 9Temperature (°C) 60.6 , 64.3 , 79.1 , 86.5(C) Time (min) 2 , 3 , 7 , 9Temperature (°C) 61.8 , 65.3 , 79.3 , 86.3(D) Time (min) 2 , 3 , 7 , 9Temperature (°C) 61.0 , 64.6 , 79.0 , 86.2

Accepted Solution

A:
Because relationship B has a greater rate, the heat should be increasing more.
Thus the answer is B because in the original, the rate from 2 to 3 was 64.9-61.3=3.6 while in table B, the change is 64.3-60.6=3.7 and 3.7>3.6
